Virtual Terrorism – Second Life Virtual Community Suffers First Terrorist Attack

By February 28, 2007

The popular Second Life virtual gaming environment has suffered its first terrorist action. Virtual terrorists bombed a virtual American Apparel outlet and Reebok store. The terrorist plot was carried out by a group of organized Second Lifers who believe, “The population of the world should have a say in the running of the world.” The so-called ‘Second Life Liberation Army’, a home-grown terrorist cell of users, staged the online attack calling for democratic decision-making in the virtual community.
